For this week's prompt, write down all you know about your topic. This is to help you organize your thoughts and can be used as a jumping off point for figuring out what sort of research you need to do.

For this week's prompt, write a cover letter applying for your dream job. Be specific when you describe what makes you the best person for this job, and be sure to keep you entry focused so you have room to expand your examples. The job you're applying for can be anything. You could choose to write this as practice for a real job that you hope to have or you could apply for something outrageous, such as Squirrel Hunter or International Woman of Mystery.

Reminder: Be sure to include a subject so we know which prompt you're doing. This can be something as simple as Journal 6 or Prompt 6, although you're welcome to get more creative if you want!

For this prompt, explain, using specific examples, why a certain place, job, or situation irritates or energizes you. Remember to keep this focused enough that you can go in depth into why this is. Pick a few aspects that you can expand on; don't feel that you have to include absolutely everything that comes to mind.

Also keep in mind that you should hold your journal entries to the same standard you would work that is printed out and turned in. Take the time to proofread before posting and pay attention to places where you may need paragraph breaks.

This is just a reminder, for this week your journal entry should be your freewriting for the Example Essay. You should try to focus on fleshing out two or three of your examples. This entry should be longer than your normal entries, aim for about 400 words.

Prompt 3:  Sometime before next Tuesday go to a place where there's usually a good amount of people, like a coffee shop, restaurant, or even the cafeteria. While you're there, observe the different people there as well as the place itself. How do the people look, what are some of the things they're talking about, what have they ordered, how are they dressed? Use the descriptions of the people there to give us an idea of the atmosphere of the place and what type of people like ot spend their time there.

A quick note on formatting before I get to the prompt: remember to put an extra space in between paragraphs like below. This makes entry easier to read by making it clear that you've moved on to a new paragraph and by breaking up what would otherwise be a block of text.

Prompt Number Two: Fall is here and the weather has taken a turn for the decidedly unpleasant. Gray skies, rain, you have to break out your winter coat to keep warm--and to top it off, you have a pile of homework to finish, laundry to do, and bills to pay. Here's your opportunity to indulge in a little daydreaming. If you could be anywhere else right now, no cost, responsibility free, where would you be? Describe this place, including concrete details that give us a feel of the place and why you want to be there.
